Dubai International Airport is preparing for an exceptional holiday season, with expectations of welcoming more than 3.6 million travelers during the peak travel period from March 26 to April 7. Saturday, April 5, is expected to be the busiest day during this period, with 309,000 guests anticipated.
The total number of passengers daily – according to Dubai Airports’ forecasts – is an average of 276,000 guests, with estimates indicating the highest increase in the first week of April.
Forecasts indicate a 19 percent increase in the number of departing flights during the Eid week compared to the average weekly flight volumes over the past month, reflecting a significant seasonal rise.
With the start of the spring school holiday, demand remains strong in key markets for visiting friends and relatives, including India, Pakistan, and the United Kingdom, along with a noticeable increase in leisure travel, which includes a rise in travel to Sri Lanka, Turkey, and Italy.

Real-time mobility
Dubai Airports has urged travelers to use the recently launched DXB Express Maps, a smart tool that provides real-time navigation across all airport terminals.
Guests can easily locate their gate, browse a full range of restaurant and store options, or find nearby facilities by scanning the QR code displayed on the information screen of any flight.
Dubai Airports is also preparing to offer enhanced services for people of determination through clearly defined and dedicated pathways, as well as providing support for guests wearing sunflower necklaces through trained staff wearing sunflower pins, and a special needs lounge in Terminal 2.
Dubai Airports confirmed that it is working in collaboration with airlines, service partners, commercial partners, and government authorities to ensure the smooth flow of guests through all points of contact throughout the holiday period.
