Dubai Basketball Club participated in a panel hosted by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism as part of the Dubai Festival & Retail Establishment series, sharing its journey of building a professional team from the ground up, overcoming the challenges of its inaugural season, and preparing for its highly anticipated EuroLeague debut.
The panel featured the club’s coach, players, and representative, who discussed the experience of launching a team with no prior legacy, adapting to cultural shifts, and maintaining readiness for top-tier competition.
The coach spoke about assembling the roster in under a month, cultivating a winning culture, and shaping the team’s identity. The club also highlighted its bold marketing strategies to engage fans and elevate Dubai Basketball’s global presence, drawing on the city’s energy and diversity.
The club’s representative emphasized that the strategic partnership with DET has been central to this journey, noting that sport and business share core principles: resilience, creativity, and the courage to lead differently.
Dubai Basketball is set to take the court on September 30th, marking the beginning of a new chapter in its competitive journey.
