UAE Basketball Federation Holds First Meeting Following New Board Elections

The UAE Basketball Federation convened its first board meeting following the recent elections, under the leadership of H.E. Abdul Latif Al Fardan, at the Federation’s headquarters within the National Olympic Committee complex.
At the outset, H.E. Al Fardan welcomed the newly elected board members, expressing gratitude to the General Assembly for their trust and commending the previous board for their dedicated service. The new board pledged to exert maximum effort to elevate the sport across all levels.
Administrative roles were assigned as follows:

  • H.E. Abdul Latif Al Fardan – President
  • H.E. Salem Al Matroushi – Secretary General
  • H.E. Hamdan Al Zaabi – Assistant Secretary General & Head of 3×3 Committee
  • H.E. Fareed Al Qaiwani – Head of Financial Committee
  • H.E. Ali Hassan Al Ameri – Head of Technical Committee
  • H.E. Ghaliya Abdullah Al Mazmi – Head of Women’s Committee
  • H.E. Mohammed Saleh Ali – Head of Referees & Legal Committee
  • H.E. Ibrahim Al Hatawi – Head of Community Events Committee
  • The Executive Office was also formed, chaired by H.E. Abdul Latif Al Fardan, with H.E. Fareed Al Qaiwani as Vice President, and members H.E. Salem Al Matroushi, H.E. Hamdan Al Zaabi, and H.E. Ali Al Ameri.
