Dubai, UAE – The “Dubai Mallathon” initiative concluded with a historic achievement, earning a Guinness World Record for the largest indoor running event held inside a shopping mall. The record was set at Dubai Hills Mall, where 1,392 participants of all ages and nationalities came together for the final race.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the month-long initiative spanned 9 major shopping destinations across the city, including Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira, Dubai Marina Mall, and more.
With over 40,000 community members taking part and collectively logging more than 120 million steps, the Dubai Mallathon has cemented its status as one of the emirate’s most dynamic and inclusive sports and wellness events—blending fitness, fun, and community spirit in a truly innovative setting.
