Modern Sport clinched the Third Division title after edging Irish 3–2 in a thrilling encounter on Tuesday at the J.A. Shooting Club Stadium, wrapping up Matchday 34 of the competition in style.
Youssef Saeed opened the scoring for Modern Sport before Ragab Abu Sarea stole the spotlight with a decisive brace. Irish stayed in contention through two goals from Lordson Kwabena, but ultimately fell short against the newly crowned champions.
Modern Sport capped their campaign with an impressive 77 points, built on 25 victories, two draws, and just four defeats—an emphatic statement of dominance throughout the season.
The title‑presentation ceremony was attended by Yahya Khalaf Al Matroushi, member of the UAE Football Association’s Board of Directors and the Competitions Committee. He handed over the league shield and gold medals to the players, coaching staff, and administrative team, marking a proud moment in the club’s history.
