Dubai Basketball showcased the mentality of a true contender, overturning a halftime deficit with a dominant second-half performance to defeat Budućnost VOLI 95–78 on the road in Podgorica, in Round 4 of the AdmiralBet ABA League Top 8 stage.
Dubai opened the game with authority, racing to a 9–0 start and controlling the tempo to close the first quarter ahead 27–23. Budućnost responded in the second period, gradually finding their rhythm and flipping the score to take a 46–44 lead into halftime.
But the second half belonged entirely to Dubai.
With renewed energy, defensive discipline, and sharper execution, Dubai took full control of the third quarter, suffocating Budućnost’s offense and winning the period 23–12 to enter the final quarter up 67–58.
The momentum carried into the fourth quarter, where Dubai delivered a ruthless offensive stretch, adding 28 points and sealing a convincing victory that reinforced their status as one of the league’s most complete and balanced teams.
Džanan Musa led the scoring with 20 points, followed by Filip Petrušev with 19, while Mfiondu Kabengele added 13 in another strong all-around performance.
Head coach Jureca Golimac praised his team’s focus and defensive commitment, highlighting the importance of teamwork and preparation—especially after a demanding stretch of four games in six days. He also emphasized the crucial role of his assistants and analysts in the scouting and preparation process.
