The 2025 Gulf Cooperation Council Golf Championship concluded its competitions amidst an enthusiastic atmosphere, witnessing strong competition among the elite Gulf golfers. The championship was characterized by a high level of skill, reflecting the development of the game in the region.
In the men’s singles category, player Ahmed Sakeek from the United Arab Emirates demonstrated exceptional skills that enabled him to win first place and be crowned champion of this category, while player Daniel Sokolov from Qatar secured second place, and player Jonathan Silvraj from the United Arab Emirates came in third place.
On the team front, the United Arab Emirates team confirmed its superiority by winning first place, while the Qatar team secured second place, and the Bahrain team came in third.
As for the youth category under 18 years (singles), the player Salem Al-Abkal from Kuwait was crowned champion of this category after an outstanding performance that enabled him to ascend the podium. Adam Al-Browani from Oman came in second place, while Mohammed Thabet from the United Arab Emirates secured third place.

In the junior team category, the Oman national team succeeded in securing first place, while the Kuwait national team came in second, and the United Arab Emirates national team took third place.
At the conclusion of the tournament, the Executive Director of the Saudi Golf Federation, Mr. Noah Ali Reza, affirmed that the event marked a significant milestone in the development of golf in the Gulf region. He praised the high technical level of the tournament and expressed his gratitude to all the teams and players for their active participation. He added, “This tournament is not just a sports competition; it is a platform to strengthen fraternal relations between the Gulf countries and to establish golf as a key component in the regional sports scene. We have witnessed remarkable levels from the players, which reflects the hard work being done by the Gulf golf federations in developing and honing talents. We are proud of this distinguished sports gathering and look forward to seeing more successes in the upcoming editions.”
It was also announced that the Sultanate of Oman will host the next edition of the championship, with the championship flag being handed over to the Omani delegation during the closing ceremony, signaling the countdown to the next tournament.
