Emirates and flydubai will account for 64% of passenger traffic at Dubai Airport and 67% of total air traffic, according to an analysis conducted by Simple Flying based on OAG data.
The data showed that Emirates Airlines holds the largest share of traffic at Dubai Airport, accounting for 51% of total passenger traffic and 42% of air traffic.
In contrast, Flydubai accounted for about 13% of the total number of passengers through the airport, while capturing 25% of the air traffic.
The two companies provided around 4 million seats on their flights from Dubai Airport during February, including 2.95 million seats on Emirates Airlines and 1.05 million seats on Flydubai.
Emirates Airlines continues to expand its international flight network, while Flydubai is exploring new destinations previously unserved by direct flights from the UAE, enhancing its presence in regions such as the Middle East, Asia, and Europe.
As the two airlines continue their efforts to strengthen their partnership and enhance the travel experience, Emirates has expanded its fleet modernization program by adding premium economy cabins, while Flydubai is investing in improving the passenger experience both on board its aircraft and on the ground.
