The Supreme Committee for the Sharjah Award for Excellence in Sports Innovation has approved the technical standards and financial rewards designated for the winners. It also added the “Unsung Hero” category to the award categories, which reward clubs, executives, and employees from various specialties. The third committee meeting was held at the House of Wisdom, chaired by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Abdul Rahman Bin Sultan, head of the program’s task force, with the presence of His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Bin Melih, the vice president, Dr. Nabil Mahoud Bin Ashour, the secretary-general, Mohammed Ali Bin Hamad, and Abdullah Hussein Al Ali.
During the meeting, the report presented by Abdullah Hussein Al Ali was also discussed, which covered the committee’s visits to clubs to introduce the award, its nomination conditions, and the mechanism for receiving and judging the files. According to the award’s timeline, the nomination files will be received until the end of April, followed by the review and comparison of the files during May, with the winners’ names to be announced at an official ceremony in June.
