AC Milan fans celebrated the Italian Super Cup yesterday, Saturday, at Dubai Mall, which the “Rossoneri” recently won against their compatriot Inter Milan, in the presence of Brazilian goalkeeper legend Nelson de Jesus Silva (Dida). The organizing committee provided an opportunity for AC Milan fans and supporters to take commemorative photos with the Super Cup and with Dida, the world champion with the Brazilian national team in the 2002 World Cup. Dida expressed his happiness about being in Dubai when he spoke to “Number 1,” saying: “Dubai is one of my favorite cities, and I love being in this place that I have visited more than once. I am also very happy with the large turnout of fans from different nationalities.” Regarding his feelings during the fan reception and after taking commemorative photos, Dida said: “I felt like I was meeting AC Milan fans from all over the world due to the different nationalities that attended the wonderful and beautiful reception.”
Regarding our question about Milan, Dida said that the team is going through a transitional phase with the arrival of four new players during the transfer window. The coach is working on a good combination and has taken the team halfway, and now he is working towards balance. Milan has certainly succeeded; the cup is important for us, and it is here and now. There is a commitment to work well, and there is still the Coppa Italia so we can do something beautiful.
Regarding our question about his most significant moments with Milan, he said, “I played for 10 years at Milan, and I love everyone. I consider myself one of the group, and my relationship with the company is good, so I am here. The best championships for me were winning the Champions League twice with the team, which made me and my teammates proud of the club during that period.”
