His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports, stated that the journey of Emirati women reflects a national vision that has placed people at the heart of progress since the UAE’s inception. By investing in human potential, enabling participation and encouraging responsibility, the country has created an environment in which Emirati women can contribute meaningfully across all spheres of life.
His Excellency also praised the pioneering role of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Mother of the Nation, in elevating the status of Emirati women as partners in national development. He noted that Her Highness’s direction to adopt ‘We Grow Stronger and Better’ as this year’s Emirati Women’s Day theme and extend the celebration across an entire month embodies the country’s commitment to building on achievements, continuing to raise the bar and recognising inspiring Emirati women.
His Excellency said: “With the support and guidance of our wise leadership, Emirati women have become key players in sectors that boost the UAE’s global competitiveness. We see this in our athletes representing the nation in international sports events, in the scientists, engineers and researchers pushing the boundaries of space exploration and in the innovators blazing new trails across industries.”
He added: “Emirati Women’s Day is an opportunity to take pride in the accomplishments of the past decades while looking ahead with even greater ambition. The aspirations of Emirati women are closely linked to the aspirations of our nation, and investing in their empowerment will strengthen our ability to deliver on national priorities and shape a brighter future for generations to come.”
