The UAE Pro League held its Ordinary General Assembly Meeting No. (1) for the 2025–2026 season on Friday morning.
The meeting was chaired by H.E. Abdullah Nasser Al Jneibi, Chairman of the UAE Pro League, in the presence of the Board of Directors, representatives of the professional clubs, and the executive management.
In his opening remarks, Al Jneibi welcomed the attendees and affirmed that the progress of UAE football continues thanks to the unwavering support of the wise leadership, whose vision and investment have provided all the elements necessary to advance the sports sector and elevate the status of Emirati football at all levels.
He highlighted the ongoing development within the football landscape, noting the rise in fan attendance, the increasing competitiveness among clubs, and the collective efforts of all stakeholders to keep pace with the rapid changes shaping the global football industry. He emphasized that the achievements realized are the result of sustained work, impactful partnerships, and a shared vision aimed at delivering a comprehensive sports experience both on and off the pitch.
Al Jneibi congratulated the clubs that secured titles and accomplishments during the previous sports season, praising their outstanding performances that reflected the level of ambition and professionalism within the clubs. He also welcomed the newly promoted teams to the ADNOC Pro League, wishing them success in the upcoming phase and expressing confidence that they will add value to the professional competitions and the UAE football ecosystem.
He commended the significant efforts made by the professional clubs throughout the season, noting their competitive spirit and sportsmanship, which contributed to enhancing the value and prestige of the Pro League competitions.
Al Jneibi reaffirmed that football has evolved into a comprehensive industry that extends beyond competition on the pitch to include fan engagement, media, digital innovation, and commercial growth. He stressed the shared responsibility to continue developing the football experience and strengthening the position of professional competitions in line with future aspirations.
He expressed confidence in the ability of the UAE football system to achieve further success in the coming years, driven by teamwork, a unified vision, and renewed ambition for continued growth and development.
The meeting also included a review of the 2025–2026 season activity report, which highlighted the key achievements and initiatives implemented by the Pro League across various areas throughout the season.
