Dubai Basketball Club has been crowned ABA League champion for the 2025–2026 season, clinching the title with a dramatic 83–81 victory over Partizan Belgrade in Game 4 of the finals to seal the series 3–1—an extraordinary achievement in only the club’s second season in European competition.
The triumph capped a commanding playoff run that began with back‑to‑back home wins in Games 1 and 2, giving Dubai a 2–0 lead in front of its supporters. Partizan responded by taking Game 3 to narrow the gap to 2–1, setting the stage for a fiercely contested fourth matchup. In a tense battle that went down to the final seconds, Dubai showed championship composure, closing out the game by a single basket and proving its ability to thrive under pressure.
Game 4 featured standout performances from several key players, including Mfiondu Kabengele, who scored 14 points and went a perfect 8-for-8 from the free‑throw line; Alfonso Avramović, who added 15 points and played a decisive role in the fourth quarter; and Jordan Anderson, who delivered a balanced display in playmaking and transition offense.
The club emphasized that this historic title reflects Dubai’s long‑term vision of building a world‑class sports project capable of competing at the highest levels. It highlighted the team’s professionalism, collective spirit, and commitment to excellence, noting that the championship marks another milestone in establishing Dubai’s presence on the European basketball stage. The organization also credited the strong support of Dubai’s sports leadership and the passion of its fans as essential pillars of this success.
“We dedicate this title to our wise leadership and our loyal fans. The Dubai team has proven that Emirati ambition knows no limits, and that investment in sport can deliver historic achievements worthy of Dubai’s global stature.”
