Al Nasr Club captured the title of the UAE Vice President’s Basketball Cup for the 2025–2026 season after defeating Shabab Al Ahli Dubai in a thrilling final held at Shabab Al Ahli’s Al Mamzar Arena. The match was played in an electric atmosphere, with strong fan presence and high-level performances that reflected the intense competition among participating clubs.
The trophy and gold medals were presented to Al Nasr by H.E. Abdul Latif Nasser Al Fardan, President of the UAE Basketball Federation; Mr. Ali Al Ameri, Board Member and Director of Competitions; Mr. Abdulrazzaq Al Hashemi, Chairman of Al Nasr Sports Games Company; Mr. Salem bin Ali, Board Member and Basketball Supervisor; Mr. Abdulbasit Ali Abdulrahman, Vice Chairman of Al Nasr Sports Games Company; and Dr. Faisal Al Tuwash, Board Member of Al Nasr Sports Games Company.
Shabab Al Ahli players received the silver medals in the presence of several federation officials and club representatives.
The final showcased a strong and competitive performance from both teams, with Al Nasr ultimately securing the title after a match filled with excitement and intensity.
H.E. Abdul Latif Nasser Al Fardan praised the overall success of the tournament, highlighting the high technical and organizational standards displayed throughout the competition.
“We congratulate Al Nasr on winning the UAE Vice President’s Cup, and we also commend Shabab Al Ahli Dubai and all participating teams for their strong performances,” Al Fardan said. “The level of play throughout the tournament reflects the ongoing development of Emirati basketball and confirms the success of the federation’s plans to elevate competitions and enhance club competitiveness.”

Al Fardan concluded by noting that the current season witnessed strong competition across all categories and expressed confidence in the continued growth of UAE basketball in the coming years.
