The UAE Basketball Federation has awarded Major General Ismail Al Gergawi the Honorary Presidency of the Federation, in recognition of his remarkable legacy of dedication, his influential contributions to the development of Emirati and Arab basketball, and his impactful role in elevating the sports ecosystem at both the national and regional levels.
The announcement was made by H.E. Abdul Latif Nasser Al Fardan, President of the Federation, during a grand ceremony hosted by the UAE Basketball Federation at Major General Al Gergawi’s farm, attended by prominent sports leaders, officials, and members of the media.
