Under the patronage and presence of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, the Sharjah Sports Council organized a reception yesterday, Tuesday, March 11, in honor of the former stars of Sharjah Club and the national team, Issa Mir and Ibrahim Mir, on the occasion of their full recovery and safety from the injuries they recently sustained. The ceremony was held at the Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club’s reception hall.
His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, President of the Sharjah Sports Council, said that he has known the players Issa and Ibrahim since childhood and during their work, praising their distinctive personalities. He pointed out that it is difficult to find players like them in sports, and that they are considered examples of sacrifice and commitment. He noted that the ceremony represents an opportunity for their return to the sports atmosphere and work in this field, as they possess experience and values. He said to them, “Welcome back to the sports life.”
